As of yesterday, Samantha is 11 years old! I've had Samantha for the past...4 years and it's been great! I love you Sam!
Samantha Last Year when she turned 10:
It was early morning and Samantha was still asleep.
Rebecca slipped out of bed and put on her apron.
She and Ellen worked on a specail "Breakfast in bed" for Samantha's birthday.
They took it in to her very quietly.
"Happy Birthday Samantha!"
Samantha set up drowsily.
She turned her head and saw Ellen next to her.
"Thank you!" she yawned.
"Ellen and I made you breakfast in bed!"
"Mmmm. Thanks, girls!"
Ellen and Rebecca chatted with Sam while she ate, then Ellen removed her dishes...
..and slid back into the room....
...with a mysterious paper!
"Ready for the surprise?"
"Yes!"
Ellen presented the poster to Samantha. It was for an expensive art camp called 'P. and P.' Samantha had been dreaming of going, but it costed so much!
She flipped it over and read some other information on the back.
Samantha hugged the poster and squealed "Do I get to go?"
"Yes!" Ellen replied. "Oh thank you so much!"
Samantha hopped out of bed right away.
The girls laid out her traveling outfit and her trunk.
Samantha ran for her box of art supplies.
They packed the supplies into the trunk first.
Then they helped Samantha get dressed, for it was almost time for her to go.
"Have a good time! Happy Birthday!" Ellen and Rebecca said.
"I will. Samantha said."
They hugged goodbye. "Oh, and please tell Molly I'm sad to miss her tenth birthday, but I'll be back on Monday." Samantha said. "We will!"
Samantha is at camp now. She called this evening and said she is having a wonderful time and she's learning so much!
Sunday is Molly's birthday....oh joy!
