Meet Midnight

I haven't posted in over a week. Tomorrow, I hope to post about Doll Fun. But TODAY, I wanted to post about Midnight, Molly's horse. He's been with us a year now.
I got him for $2 at a thrift store. That's not a bad deal. He needed some TLC, as you see here. He had scratched and a matted tail.

But, with just a little cleaning up (we magic erasered him and brushed him was an AG brush) he's great quality!

Molly recieved him for her birthday last year. She loves Midnight a lot!

Her first ride on him ever, back in 2010.
More Midnight photos and stories to come!

Presents from AG!

Last week, American Girl sent me a nice present. :) Look:
A catalogue and...a magazine!

Cute fashions in the catalogue.

I was SO excited! I love owning it for myself because I can write in it and use the ideas over and over!

Funny quiz about cats.

Cute clay pets.

The AG "wee worlds" in this issue were so cute!

I love the American Girl Cafe Ads. I've been to the AG place in Chicago, but not to the cafe. It sure looks fun!

Cleaning Up

As I said before, I've been working on cleaning up my doll areas. Here is what my closet looked like about a week ago:

Messy! Boxes, clothes and furniture everywhere!

During. I have everything organized into nice piles.

And now! I moved the shelf and beds around and organzied everything! More pictures when I have it all more decorated.

It's the rest of my room that's a mess now! :) We're working on that. It got really delayed since I was sick.

Sorry it's been so long...

I was busy all last week and...I got sick Friday night/early Saturday morning...so that's why I haven't posted much. I promise that I have lots of cool things to post as soon as I am better!
(Doll Play came, there were 2 more birthdays and I got a free gift from AG!)

Molly's 10th Birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOLLY!
Molly turned 10 yesterday! Here is what she did.

Kit and Emily took her out for lunch.

The birthday girl.
She ordered a burger and fries, one of her favorites!

"Can Molly open her presents now?"

"Yes, let's call Rebecca and Ellen over first."

Rebecca and Ellen got a break.

"Me first! Samantha and I are giving you this..."
She handed Molly some money. "Thank you!"

"We thought you could buy some new mysteries with it."

"I'll go next."

Emily presented Molly with a cool cowboy hat.

"Wow, thanks!"

Molly tried it on.

"Ellen and I need to go soon, so we'll go ahead and give you ours."

They handed Molly a box.

She opened it to find...

A cool blue bandana she wanted!

"Do you like it?" Ellen asked. "Oh yes!" Molly replied.

"We have to go." Rebecca said. "We'll drop by later."

Later, they came back singing "Happy Birthday To You, Happy Birthday To You, Happy Birthday Dear Molly....Happy Birthday to YOU!"

They brought out sponge cake (Molly's favorite) and an ice cream sandwhich for Kit, who doesn't like Sponge cake.

"Thank you all so much, this sure is great!"
They enjoyed their cake. Molly had a great birthday!

OK, Emily's 9th birthday is going to be here soon, but in the mean time...my closet and doll areas (beside the Cafe') are a mess! For motivation, I'm going to post while I get it all cleaned up and moved around a little. :)

American Girl Cafe' Open for Business!

Here it is! I had so much fun working on the American Girl Cafe' last night and this morning! Rebecca and Ellen applied last week to work at A.G.C. and today was their first day!

Cute matching aprons. :) Made them myself!

Sweets counter. Yum.

Specail for today!

The first customer, Molly."Hello. One please."

"Welcome! Yes, we'll seat you right away."

Rebecca grabbed a menu and led Molly to sit down.

"Here we are. Ellen will be right over to serve you."

"Thank you."

"Hi, my name is Ellen and I'll be taking care of you. What would you like to drink?"
"Um, yes, water with lemon." Molly replied.

Ellen brought back water with lemon.

"Are you ready to order?" Ellen asked.

"Yes. The Marshmellow cereal and Fruit Plate, please."

"I'll have it right out."

When it came out, Molly said "Yum, this looks great!"

Ellen checked back on Molly later and asked "How was everything? Can I get a box for you?"

"Oh, it was all so good, but I can't fit another bite! Yes, a box would be great."

Ellen took the plate to the counter. "Could you box this up please?" "Sure!" Rebecca said.

She transferred the fruit to the box.

Ellen took the To Go box and her check to Molly. "Thank you for coming! Please pay up front."

Ellen began to freshen up the tables for the next customer.

"I'm ready to pay!" Molly said.

She put down her debit card and three green bills for the tip.

"Thank you very much! Have a great day!"

"Oh and here is a coupon for you, so you can come back again!"

The rest of the day went smoothly. Customers came, went and were happy.

Kit had the steak and carrots with a baked potato and Emily had a salad with a BLT and chips.

What a great day!
