Guess Who!!!

Hello Everyone!
Lots of girls seem to be doing fun guessing games on their blogs. I decided to make my own! Here's how it works. I have photographed and edited 3 of my dolls. You have to guess which doll is in each photo. Look at the photos below of their shadow and then comment with numbers 1. (name) 2. (name) and 3. (name.) First person to get all three correct gets to pick what I should do for my next blog post!!!

Here are all six of my doll's names just in case you're new to the blog.
Ellen,(Addy) Rebecca, Samantha, Molly, Emily and Kit. (Emily is NOT an American Girl Doll.)
The game ends when somebody gets it right!

PS. If you all like this game, make sure you put that in your comment and I might consider doing a post showing YOU how you can make a guessing game of your own!!!

Happy Memorial Day!

Hi Everyone!
Sorry posts have been few during the month of May. I will get better as soon as I finish school (not this Friday, but the next!!!!!)

I had planned to make a Memorial Day Photo Story today, but I'm really busy with painting my garage this weekend. So, instead, I dug up my Memorial Day photos from last year, when my dolls had a picnic.
Hanging up the sign.

Like her patriotic hat?

Putting up tables.

One Memorial Day tradition my dolls have is playing kickball.

Eating pizza!

The dress Kit is wearing is actually a baby dress of mine. :)

Happy Memorial Day!
Thanks to all the veterans and those currently serving our country!

New Dress!

EXCITEMENT!!!!
I got a new doll dress!

You can see it below. These are all really parts of a stop motion I was working on, but I stopped because for whatever reason windows movie maker does not convert for portrait photos (and the whole thing was pretty much portrait photos, so it would all be sideways!) I DO plan on making a stop motion here in the future, so keep an eye out for it.

It comes with a white jacket.

I just love the color.

Had to throw one of Sam in there!

Dressing Civil War

When it rains like this all the time...I have trouble thinking up things to do with my dolls. Sorry for the length of time in between posts!

I've been reenacting this month...and this coming week I will be doing a Civil War day! This of course, is making me in sort of a "Civil War" mood. It's even being reflected in my doll play.

So today, I'm going to teach you how to dress your doll in Civil War costume!
This is the "shift." A lady wore this all the time and rarely changed it. (perhaps once a year.) She wore it like her skin, but it also served as her nightgown.

In the morning, first come the bloomers. The shift is stuffed into them.

Next comes the tightly laced corset. This ensures that a lady sits up straight!

After that comes the hoop, for added fullness to the skirt. (these are normally covered in cotton. Mine is not.)

After the hoop, a few petti coats are added.

Then, a cotton dress.

Dress the hair, and add a bonnet to keep the sun off.

Wool socks and boots complete the look.

She's beautiful!

PS. The hoop was fairly easy to make. I used 3 embroidery hoops! Tie them together with some cord. You can always take it apart when you're done!

Vacation Part 7-Canadian Girl

My Aunt saved a magazine she got in the mail for me. I think it's kind of funny...it's called "The Canadian Girl!"

It's actually a cute magazine.

You can visit their website, here.

They actually have some cute, cheaper clothes and accesories.

Check it out! It's a cool idea.

Funny story: Above is a picture of the beach! We went twice, once in the day and once at night. Well, I took Ellen in the day. But a forgot my camera battery, so I didn't get to take any pictures. It was really windy, so Ellen stayed in my bag. But she did get a glimpse of the Gulf of Mexico! This picture was taken at night. It was so windy, the sand looks like snow!

This concludes my vaction series. Hope you liked it! I'll be back to my normal posting now. :)
