Another new outfit!

Are you bored of sewing projects yet? I hope not...because I have another one! I just finished it today! I used the fabric (see this post) to make it. I'm really proud of it, this is one of the best things I've ever made for my dolls! I kind of got on a roll. I was making a skirt out of it, and then I thought "It really needs a jacket." so I made that. That I thought "Boy, a headband would look cute with it." So I sewed that. And THEN I thought "You know, a tote bag would finish it off." So I made that too. :)
Here's the whole outfit! I made everything besides the shirt and shoes. By the way, sorry for the messy background.

Back. Doesn't that green pop of color make it look GREAT!?

The headband makes it really fun. :) I just used a strip of fabric and I added a tiny bit of elastic to make it into a circle. That helps you slip it over the doll's head. Does that make sense?

The best part is, I can mix and match the various parts of this outfit with other outfits!
See how much fun an 89 cent end roll can be?

PS. Tomorrow shall be my 100th post!

Watermelon outfit!!!

In a previous day of Rebecca's challenge, she posted a photo of herself in this outfit. I just finished it this week. It is made after Eliza's adorable outfit in the last couple of posts.

What do you think?

It's almost my 100th post!!!!! (I'm at 97) Get ready, because it's going to be exciting!

Check out the New American Girl Summer Releases!

I just LOVE some of the new items AG just released!

(all photos from Americangirl.com)
This outfit is so cute! I like how the jumper and shirt separate. :)

This one is kind of fun but I don't have plans to buy it.

Look at this new watch! It's adorable! I plan to buy one in the future...

And just LOOK at THESE! Talk about cute!

LOVE THEM!

These are cute too, but I like the boots better:

Okay, well, more posts later! Be sure to go to the AG website to see all the new stuff!

New Fabric!

I just bought some NEW fabric! It was an End Roll at Hobby Lobby. 1/4 of a yard for 89 cents! End roll bins are great places to find fabric for making doll stuff.

It's so pretty! It will look great with a pop of solid color!

What should I make? A skirt, or a dress or a tank top for my dolls?

Day 19 of Rebecca's Challenge

                                             Something orange:

Emily was having fun playing with this orange scarf!

Happy Summer...so I'm going to teach you how to make....

A scarf??? Yes! A scarf!!! I know it isn't quite scarf season yet, but I just learned a really cool skill, called finger knitting! Ever done it before? Well, now is your chance!
Get up from the computer and grab some yarn. All you need is that and some scissors.

Lay the yarn across your palm.

Weave it through your fingers...

and do the rest...

Now, wrap the yarn around your hand...

and bring it over to the front!

Now, pull the bottom loop over the top look and bring your finger through!

Do it with each finger.

Another example of bringing the finger through.

The back looks a mess right now, but don't worry!

It will look like this when you bring all the loops over.

Wrap the yarn around your hand again!

It will start looking like this.

See?

It's getting longer....

and longer....

It's as long as I want it now!

So, snip off 4 inches or thread...

and weave it through the loops.

Slide it offf your fingers...

and tie it in a know! Cut off the excess yarn and repeat with the other side.

Done! Isn't that cool? It took me 15 minutes, max.

It looks awesome!

various ways of tying, plus you can use it as a belt!

Now is the time folks, stock up on your scarves now! Have you ever done this before? And also, will you do me a big favor? If you decide to do this, will you post a comment about it below? Thanks!
